Wayfinders Voyaging Experience

The Moananuiākea Voyage is a one hour immersive Hawaiian sailing experience departing from Lagoon 1 aboard our traditional double-hull voyaging canoe. Rooted in the legacy of Polynesian exploration, this hands-on cultural journey is one of the few experiences in Hawai‘i that authentically brings traditional wayfinding and Hawaiian voyaging practices to life. Guests will actively participate in paddling, steering with the hoe (traditional steering paddle), handling sailing lines, and learning the ancient art of celestial navigation used by Polynesians to traverse the vast Pacific Ocean without modern instruments.
